  • The Enchanted Barn

Grace Livingston Hill, Anne Hancock, Spoken Realms

Audiobook (Spoken Realms, Nov. 11, 2015)
Shirley Hollister is desperate. She, her ailing mother, and her four siblings are being forced out of their cramped city apartment. Where to go on her meager stenographer's salary? On a whim, she takes a trolley ride into the countryside and spies a barn: spacious, full of light, and surrounded by God's wondrous nature. Her new landlord, Sidney Graham, is intrigued by this lovely young woman and her plans to turn his abandoned barn into a home. Famed Christian fiction author Grace Livingston Hill's tale of a plucky girl determined to better her life is full of romance and adventure as Shirley (in escapades reminiscent of Nancy Drew and The Perils of Pauline) confounds spies and embezzlers with her quick thinking and profound faith.

  • The Enchanted Coin

Bob Doerr, Sule Greg Wilson, TotalRecall Publications, Inc.

Audible Audiobook (TotalRecall Publications, Inc., Feb. 24, 2016)
Retired Air Force Colonel and Senior Federal Agent Launches New Action Adventure Fiction We have all heard of tales of UFOs, ghosts, people who say they can talk to the spirits, ancient curses, and magical talismans. Most of us automatically dismiss them as false, figments of people's imagination, and understandably so. However, might not just a few of them be true? I don't know, but I heard this story from a young man the other day who swore the fascinating tale I have set forth in this book really did really occur, because it happened to him. You be the judge. Fourteen-year-old Greg Worling's life changed the day he found an eight-sided coin along the edge of a pond on his parent's farm. The coin sparkled as though it reflected the sun's light, even in the shade. Drawn to it, Greg discovers an inscription on the coin that reads, "Greg, drop this coin into the fountain in front of the tree of life". Weeks later, his little sister by his side, Greg tosses the coin into the small fountain and is instantaneously transported to a strange land. The Enchanted Coin is a Mouse Gate Fiction Action Adventure and captivates the attention of children and adults alike. The Enchanted Coin is a 2013 grand prize winner of the "Books Without Publishers" writing contest.

  • The Enchanted Barn

    Grace Livingston Hill

Hardcover (Bibliotech Press, July 27, 2020)
Grace Livingston Hill (April 16, 1865 – February 23, 1947) was an early 20th-century novelist and wrote both under her real name and the pseudonym Marcia Macdonald. She wrote over 100 novels and numerous short stories. Her characters were most often young Christian women or become Christians within the confines of the story. Hill's writing career began as a child in the 1870s, writing short stories for her aunt's weekly children's publication, The Pansy. Her first story printed in book form was The Esselstynes, which was published in 1877 as part of the "Mother's Boys and Girls Library" by D. Lothrop & Company.A Chautauqua Idyl, her first book as a young adult, was written in 1887 to earn enough money for a family trip from her Florida home to the summer Chautauqua gathering at Chautauqua, New York. This illustrated allegory of a Chautauqua gathering held by the flowers, tree, and animals was published in time to be offered for sale that summer and brought enough earnings to take the family there. Several books written in collaboration with her family followed in the early 1890s, as well as her only children's book, A Little Servant.Lack of funds was a frequent motivator, particularly after the death of her first husband left her with two small children and no income other than that from her writing. After the death of Hill's father less than a year later, her mother came to live with her. This prompted Hill to write more frequently. During and after her failed ten-year marriage to second husband Flavius Josephus Lutz, a church organist 15 years her junior, she continued to write to support her children and mother. She stopped using the Lutz surname after they parted ways in May 1914.Although many of her earlier novels were specifically intended to proselytize, Hill's publishers frequently removed overt references to religious themes. After her publishers realized the popularity of her books, references to religious topics were allowed to remain, although she later modified her writing style to appeal to a more secular audience. The last Grace Livingston Hill book, Mary Arden, was finished by her daughter, Ruth Hill Munce, writing under the name of Ruth Livingston Hill, and published in 1948. (wikipedia.org)
  • The Enchanted Knot

    Eric Nylund

    eBook
Hi. My name is Konrad Scalagari. I’ve written this book just for you. I know, this is supposed to be a blurb telling you about the book. The thing is, while you’re reading this, everyone else is reading a description of a science-fiction adventure with super soldiers, guts and glory, and spaceship battles. It’s just part of the magic to cover my tracks while I explain this to you. I know you don’t understand yet… but you’re a member of the Scalagari family, too. Who are the Scalagaris? Good question. The Scalagaris are one of many highly secretive magical families in the world. We specialize in using knots to bind enchantments. Oh, and we’re criminals—sort of. Think of us as part Robin Hood and part magical mafia. Capisce? The Enchanted Knot is the story of how I figured this out, and went from clueless teenager living in a trailer park to being rich and infamous (and landing on INTERPOL’s most wanted list).Read this. Right now! You’ll need to know these things when we come looking for you.
